The “Kibiki Ceremony” is a festival that has been held during the construction and restoration of Shuri Castle since the time of the Ryukyu Kingdom. As the first step towards the start of construction of the main hall in Heisei, it was modeled after the wooden hiki ceremony
A reconstruction event for Shurijo Castle in 2019 will be held.

Kibiki Parade: “Japanese white beetles,” which are used as wood for the main hall of Shurijo Castle, are transported by land from Kunigami Village, which is a logging site, to Naha.
