To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the enforcement of the municipal government of Ginowan City and the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to the mainland, a special exhibition of Shinzan Yamada, a great man from Ginowan City who spent about 30 years of his later years in Ginowan, will be held. At the Okinawa Peace Hall in Mabunito, Itoman City, there is an Okinawa Peace Statue that Shinzan spent 18 years working on making because of the sadness that Shinzan lost his son in the war and his feelings for world peace. The prototype of the studio in Futenma in Shinzan still remains today. In this special exhibition, materials left in the ruins of the atelier will be exhibited, centering on Shinzan and the Peace Memorial Statue, and their footprints will be introduced.
