Kinjo Bitru
Ryukyuan (Brazil III) born in Sao Paulo, researcher, singer-songwriter, and producer. A top-notch professional who was also nominated for Best Regional Singer at the Brazilian Music Awards 2018. He received a Ph.D. in Sociology on the theme of identity, music, and expression of the Ryukyu diaspora (2017). He has participated twice in the United Nations Standing Conference on Indigenous Peoples Affairs (UNPFII) as a member of the Ryukyu National Independent Research Society (ACSILS). Currently, he is also a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Sao Paulo, and conducts research on the purification and regeneration of water and rivers from the perspective of indigenous peoples.
