It is a space called the Tokyo National Museum and Hyokeikan, which is designated as an important cultural property as a Western-style building in the late Meiji period, where traditional Japanese performing arts (kabuki, bunraku, noh, gagaku, and kumiodori) registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage are gathered together. A special exhibition that introduces the unique beauty of each performing art and the “work” that supports it.
In each exhibition room, in addition to a reproduction stage where visitors can actually go on stage and experience the unique worldview of Traditional Performing Arts with a sense of realism, costumes, props, musical instruments, etc. used in actual performances are also exhibited. Valuable video materials for the performance and explanatory videos by engineers who support the stage are also screened.
