◆Naofumi Okamoto Photo Exhibition @Hotel Anteroom Naha

Photographer Naofumi Okamoto, who was in charge of supervision and photography of “Okinawa Island Architecture”, won the sub-grand prize at the 6th Okinawa Bookstore Grand Prize. Since visiting Okinawa for the first time in 1979, the photographs that have been taken while traveling between Okinawa and Tokyo are exhibited. This exhibition is divided into two stages, and the first stage will exhibit the new work “Overhead All Along the Watchtower”, which is currently filming in progress. In the second phase, the exhibition showcases “foreign housing” built for US military personnel and blends into the landscape of Okinawa, and “American Night”, which captures the United States that appears with orange light on Okinawa night. We reaffirm “seeing” when we look back on a landscape that we should be familiar with.
