Kenji Kojima, a potter of Iga ware, celebrates the 34th year of his solo exhibition in Okinawa, has held an exhibition that looks back on the footprint of 33 years, along with the works left in Okinawa.

Iga ware is a pottery made in the area centered on Marubashira, Iga City, Mie Prefecture, and many tea utensils were made during the Momoyama period. The aesthetic sense of tea ceremony that is unique to Japan is reflected, such as the contrast of natural glaze, which was shown by firewood ash falling down on the earthen, and the beauty of shaping that made full use of horn eyes and distortion.
You can enjoy the charm of traditional Iga ware by Kojima, which has been announced in a new form of stimulation obtained from Okinawa, and the charm of works that have incorporated a new style.
