Hosted by the Asahi Shimbun (co-sponsored by Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting, Cooperation: Okinawa Times), distributed a video of the symposium held on 5/29. Asahi ID member registration (free) and application are required to watch (applications are accepted until 7/3 (Sun) 20:00).

■Part 1 Half a Century Looking at Family History
Okinawan native TAMAKI Denny (Okinawa prefectural governor), John Kabila (radio personality), and Chibana Kurara (model) look back on their family's history and the history of Okinawa, with photos from their childhood.

■Part 2 Panel Discussion “Okinawa and Japan's Current Location”
At the beginning, Ryo Kiyuna, who won the gold medal in the men's karate form at the Tokyo Olympics, performs a demonstration and talks about karate that originated in Okinawa. At the symposium, we will face issues such as bases, economic promotion, child poverty, etc., and the appearance of Japan seen through Okinawa, and discuss from various perspectives in order to prospect the future world.
